About SVR

Snow Valley Racing delivers competitive ski racing for athletes from 4 to 18 years of age through a variety of professionally run programs. Our programs run out of the Snow Valley Ski Club, beside Whitemud Drive in Edmonton, Alberta.

Our enrolment is one of the largest in Western Canada, and our success in developing both successful competitors and all around athletes is second to none.

Although the majority of racers may not have the experience of standing on top of the podium, Snow Valley Racing athletes at all levels have an opportunity to learn life long skills both on, and off the hill. The camaraderie of being together as a team during hours of challenging race & dryland training and the one to two minutes of individual adrenaline while rushing down the race course teach a work ethic that will make our racers better citizens. Racing also teaches goal setting within one’s self, and the rewards of achieving and often surpassing goals.

The purpose of the Snow Valley Racing Association is to deliver competitive ski racing for athletes through a variety of professionally run programs.  We aim to become the preeminent ski racing environment in Alberta as demonstrated by racer performance and attitude, fiscal strength, and the ability to attract coaches and athletes alike.

Snow Valley Racing operates with volunteers and professional staff. The Board of Directors is responsible to set the policies outlining the long-term objectives of the association and the Program Director is responsible for the operations.

One of our objectives is to make a high quality ski racing program financially accessible to the majority of families. In order to deliver on this, we must fundraise outside of our organization. Our registration fees only cover 40% of the cost of the program – fundraising and other contributions make up the rest!

Snow Valley is located at 13204-45 Avenue in Edmonton
