One of our objectives is to keep our programs affordable to our members while pursuing our vision. In order to do so, we rely on fundraising activities to generate close to 40% of our revenues.
We require each family to take part in the Grocery Program, and the Silent Auction. In addition, each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 2 shifts at fundraising or social events. These events include the ski swap, the silent auction, Casino and the spring BBQ.
Through the generous contributions of Sobeys we are able to offer our grocery program, which allows families to raise funds for us by shopping for their groceries.
The Annual Dinner and Silent Auction is a large fundraising event, raising over $25,000 per year thanks to the countless hours of volunteer work put in by our dedicated members. Information on the 2019 Silent Auction will be available soon on the site and will be available at registration.
Snow Valley Racing hosts a casino once a year, and requires volunteers to staff the two day event. This is Snow Valley Racing biggest single fundraiser and ensures the program costs to families remain at a reasonable rate. The casino supports all programs of Snow Valley Racing, and is an essential pillar of fundraising. This seasons casino dates are yet to be determined. More information will follow.
We will be having our annual Ski and Snowboard Swap in partnership with the Snow Valley Ski Club. This is a great opportunity to sell some of your used equipment from last season and to get ready for the upcoming season. The Ski Swap will be November 2 & 3 2019.
